One of the MIUI’s engineer has confirmed that the upcoming MIUI 12 will come with global system-wide dark mode support. That means dark mode feature can be enabled by a user in almost all third-party apps.

The dark theme will turn the background colour to black or dark grey and text colour to white.

Moreover, the dark theme will reduce battery drain and strain on eyes.


Release Date
The company has not announced anything about the launch date for next-generation

Xiaomi’s custom skin. However, it is expected that MIUI 12 will be announced in the third quarter of 2020.
Eligible Xiaomi and Redmi Phones for MIUI 12 UpdateAs for the stable MIUI 12 rollout, we can expect all 2019’s Xiaomi and Redmi phones will receive the update.
